About 50 years ago a fabric store named Mcgowens Fabrics opened its doors in Elizabeth, NJ. With time they became one of the best known fabric stores in the tri-state area. People came from far & wide to find great deals. The Lehrer family successfully ran this thriving business for years and years. Due to unfortunate circumstances they had to close down in May of 2016.

For the last 20 years, the Adiers family (who own a successful window treatment company) worked closely with McGowen's to offer customers beautiful custom made draperies. When Mcgowen's closed its doors, the Adiers decided to open a new fabric store in the same location, and named it Mivia Fabrics (named after their 3 kids: Michael, Victor and Alice).
 

Due to the success of our store, we are pleased to announce that in August of 2021 we've opened a 2nd location in Lodi, NJ. Located in the same space where Budlee Fabrics once occupied. We are extremely excited to bring our expertise in fabrics, custom window treatments and reupholstery to Bergen County.

Our store will continue to offer beautiful fabrics at great prices. Our number 1 goal is to make our customers extremely satisfied with our products and services so they will come back to us time and time again as well as refer us to their friends and family.
